2009 U.S. National ChampionshipTeam Run Faster Omaha just got back from winning the gold medal at the 2009 U.S. National Championship.
With 137 individual competitors from all over the U.S. team Run Faster took home the team gold and also took 3rd, 4th, 6th,
11th and 17th in the individuals. Thanks to Arlington Texas for putting on a great
event. The weather could have been a little warmer but it was still much better than Omaha the week before. Next stop will be Worlds in Las Vegas NV the 16th -20th of November.

Omaha day 2Another cold day and another sloooow keiser.. But the playing field was level and we did what we came
to do... 4 gold medals this weekend first place individual, team, relay and tandem. Great
crowd for the weather and a great group of competitors including a Parker Colorado team that gave us all we could handle in
the relay while they only had 3 guys able to run. Now for Nationals and hopefully some warmer
weather. If it is 40 degrees in Arlington I will just skip the keiser and take the penalty.

Day one OmahaI don't know what happened to the 60 degrees and sunny the weatherman predicted but 44 degrees and complete
overcast was pretty close. I am very glad I surrounded myself with great competitors on our team
because it took a lot to carry me through this event. The two Johns - Woolery and Healey stepped up big both running
1:38s on a sloooow course. Woolerys first gold medal finish in the individual and Healeys first top three finish in
the individual. Schuka wasn't happy with his run but still grabbed 6th place with a 1:46. Now to the disappointment
they call me. 25 hits on the Keiser. No that is not a typo. If you hurry and drive to Omaha now you can
probably still see me hitting it. The combination of slow keiser, nagging hand injury and bad technique made it almost
comical. So I owe a big thank you to the rest of my team for getting us the gold at home. Besides the cold weather and my performance it was a good event. More fans than I expected with the weather
and a bunch of great competitors. The guys from Parker Colorado are always some of our favorites and Casper made the
trip down and took third. Well we will see how tomorrow goes since now they are calling
for rain.

Reno CompetitionJust got done at Reno and it was a great competition. Woolery stepped up big in a tough field to grab
second place overall with a 1:35. Nate managed a 1:39 with his banged up hand for 7th overall. Cale had a rough start
and a disappointing run but still managed to contribute to a team third place. With a tough field including Norcal,
Hayward, Westshore, Mutual aid, Casper and a bunch of others we were happy to grab 3rd with only 3 of our five team members
able to go. Rohda and Woolery also took third place in the tandem with a handfull of mistakes
still managed a 1:29.
Great job to everyone out there at a great event....
